Dự án cải tạo Juri Commons bao gồm:
- Khu vui chơi trẻ em và khu khám phá thiên nhiên

Lý lịch
Việc cải tạo Công viên Juri Commons là một phần của Sáng kiến Let’sPlay SF !, nhằm mục đích truyền cảm hứng sáng tạo và vui chơi trên toàn thành phố. 13 sân chơi được ưu tiên cải thiện bởi một nhóm công tác gồm các công dân đang trong quá trình được hình dung lại và thiết kế lại cho thế hệ trẻ em San Francisco hiện tại và tương lai.
Để phù hợp với việc công viên được chỉ định là một trong 13 địa điểm thuộc chương trình Let’sPlaySF!, việc cải tạo Juri Commons bao gồm các tiện ích vui chơi cũng như một loạt các tính năng được thiết kế để tạo ra một không gian xanh tươi, thân thiện và dễ tiếp cận cho tất cả mọi người đến thăm. Sở Giải trí và Công viên đã hợp tác chặt chẽ với cộng đồng, bao gồm cả Juri Commoners, một nhóm tận tâm với công viên, để cung cấp một dự án hoàn chỉnh bao gồm khu vui chơi trẻ em mới, thiết bị tập thể dục cho người lớn, đường đi dành cho người khuyết tật, cây xanh và hệ thống tưới tiêu mới, và chỗ ngồi được cải thiện.
Công viên Juri Commons là tàn tích xanh của một tuyến đường sắt từng chạy qua thành phố cách đây hơn 150 năm. Việc sử dụng đất trước đây đã định hình hình dạng tuyến tính của công viên và giúp bảo vệ khu vực này khỏi sự phát triển đô thị, cho phép công viên tồn tại đến ngày nay. Để tôn vinh lịch sử này, một phần của con đường chính trong công viên được thiết kế để tái hiện trải nghiệm đường sắt - một lời nhắc nhở cho những người sử dụng công viên hoặc đi ngang qua về quá khứ quan trọng của nó.
Tài trợ
Dự án này kết hợp nguồn tài trợ từ Quỹ Cơ hội Cộng đồng với Phí Tác động Phát triển toàn thành phố và được hỗ trợ bởi Sáng kiến Let’sPlaySF!. Dự án này được tài trợ bởi các khoản quyên góp tư nhân và các nguồn công cộng bao gồm:
- Trái phiếu năm 2012 (Quỹ Cơ hội Cộng đồng): 524.488 đô la
- Bond 2012 (Let’sPlaySF!): 325.000 đô la
- Phí tác động đối với nhà phát triển khu vực phía Đông: 1.000.000 đô la

Hợp đồng xây dựng cho dự án này đã được Ủy ban Giải trí và Công viên phê duyệt vào ngày 4 tháng 3 năm 2020 ( PDF ); Ủy ban Giải trí và Công viên đã phê duyệt bản sửa đổi hợp đồng vào ngày 30 tháng 9 năm 2020 ( PDF ). Hợp đồng xây dựng này đã được cấp và tuân thủ tất cả các phê duyệt theo quy định của thành phố, tiểu bang và liên bang, bao gồm cả những phê duyệt cụ thể liên quan đến nguồn tài trợ của dự án này.
