South Sunset Synthetic Turf Replacement Project

Completed and Open to the Public February 19, 2022!

Scope of Work

Replaced turf, added natural turf infill, and turf underlayment pads; improvements and repairs to the existing perimeter fence and gate systems; replaced select site furnishings.

Funding

Funding came from the Recreation and Park Department General Fund and Playfields Fund, and the City Fields Foundation.

The construction contract award for this project was approved by Recreation and Parks Commission on June 17, 2021 ( PDF ). This construction contract award obtained and complies with all city, state, and federal regulatory approvals, including any that are specific to this project’s funding sources.
