Scope of Work

The synthetic field turf on these fields is over 12 years old and due for routine replacement. This project will remove and replace the existing synthetic field turf on the play fields. As part of this project, the old synthetic turf will be removed and recycled/downcycled. New turf will be installed with new infill material consisting of cork and sand, rather than the crumb rubber material used formerly.

Additional improvements will include the replacement of damaged fencing; installation of new fence fabric; minor ADA improvements; and installation of new site features, including drinking fountains, players benches, signage, and trash receptacles.

Background

This project is part of the Park Playfield Repairs and Reconstruction Program . As of 2026, the Recreation and Park Department operates synthetic turf fields in twelve parks, which together provide more than 35 individual game fields.
