Scope of Work

Louis Sutter Upper Playground

This project will fully renovate the playground adjacent to McNab Lake at Louis Sutter Playground in McLaren Park.

This playground renewal project will replace all play equipment and playground surfacing within the existing playground footprint, complete minor fence and gate improvements, and ensure the playground is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Background

The project is a part of Rec and Park’s Playground Renewal Program , an initiative that streamlines construction projects to deliver community-driven, high-quality playgrounds quickly and efficiently . Projects create exciting and inclusive play spaces within existing footprints, guided by focused community engagement.

Rec and Park’s first Playground Renewal project was Bernal Heights Playground Renewal , which was completed November 3, 2025.

Funding

Funding comes from 2020 Health & Recovery Bond.
