McLaren Park - Louis Sutter Playground ADA
Scope of Work
This project will remove existing barriers to public accessibility in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by creating clear access points, upgrading pathways, correcting slopes, and providing clear paths of travel from a new accessible parking area to park attractions.
The project’s objectives are the following:
- Provide accessible parking in the South Parking lot.
- Provide accessible pathway from South Parking lot to Wayland St., clubhouse, covered terrace, drinking fountain, and sports courts.
- New green infrastructure to capture stormwater in project area.
- Minor improvements to existing planting areas.
Funding
Funding for this project comes from the General Fund from a dedicated program for ADA compliance, and from a green infrastructure grant (GIG) provided by SFPUC.
