Lincoln Park Golf Course is one of the most highly scenic urban golf courses in the world, overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding the historic art museum at the Palace of the Legion of Honor. Constructed in 1902, the course was built in stages by several different architects, including the legendary Tom Bendelow.
Measuring at 5,416 yards, this par 68 golf course pays homage to the days of hickory and persimmon eras. Despite the relative short length on the scorecard, Lincoln Park plays much longer and more difficult due to its hilly terrain, strong ocean winds, and small undulating green complexes. In particular, the course bears its teeth with narrow cypress-lined fairways that place a premium on precision and strategic shot placement.
