Everyone deserves to get out and play– even our four-legged friends. We have 36 designated park areas throughout the city where Fido can run around, get some exercise and make new friends.

Farms and Gardens

The Rec and Park Department supports and manages a program of 42 community gardens (and growing!) on City-owned property, where members can grow produce and ornamental plants for personal use.

Located throughout the city, our full-service recreation centers provide a wide array of registered and drop-in activities for visitors of all ages, including classes for tots, after school programs for youth, and dance and fitness classes for adults.

Swimming Pools

The Rec and Park Department has nine pools throughout the city where you can enjoy splashing around, exercising, learning to swim, or relaxing poolside.

Urban trails allow residents to escape the city’s hectic pace and explore nature in their own neighborhoods.
